The year 2021 changed everything. Bobi, an energetic puppy, arrived in our family and quickly taught us one thing: walking a dog is a skill where you never have enough hands.

The idea for SafeDog was born one bitterly cold morning.
We were walking with Bobi when the phone rang. At the same time, my fingers were frozen, the leash felt like it was slipping from my grasp, and Bobi decided it was the perfect moment to chase a squirrel. In that chaotic moment, I realized: There has to be a better way to do this.

From the kitchen table to the finals stage 🏆

We didn't just want to complain about the problem; we wanted to solve it. The first prototypes of the SafeDog strap were sewn together and tested with passion – first by ourselves, then with friends' and acquaintances' dogs. The feedback was clear: "Everyone needs this!"

The journey culminated in 2023 when SafeDog made its way to the finals of a young business idea competition in Tampere. It was a sign to us that we were on the verge of something big.
